LANCASTER, NEW YORK

WATER TOWER REPAINTING

(A NaBloPoMo post)

 The Village of Lancaster, New York commissioned a local artist to paint a mural on their water tower. In keeping with the theme of the Firemen’s Memorial park where the tower is located, a tribute to the local volunteer firemen wa commissioned.

The new paint job on the tower was dedicated in 2010, and has definitely caused the tower to become a community focal point.

The day I visited Lancaster a crew was maintaining the water tower. Of course, I snapped the process. However, the first photo was taken in New England, in a car that shouts patriotism for Veteran’s Day 2013, a car that I would have enjoyed traveling through the northeastern states in:

We observed this woman looking up to view the workers:

The workers working so high up were impressive, as was the paintings on the water tower:
