Friday was cool but pleasant as the Ft.Ligonier Days festival 2012, began their commemoration of the  Fort Ligonier battle in the French and Indian War. The weather over the weekend couldn’t have been better. Below are a few photographs taken during the commermoration.

During the weekend celebration of history I didn’t make it to the reenactments at Ft. Ligonier, so a friend sent me the following picture (2012 © dlp digital/lenswork@gmail.com  Unique Photo By Kern F. Little):

There were crowds and craft booths to please any shopper or looker:

Beanery Writers Group is represented:

Food to satisfy any appetite:

Activities for children and youth:

Joseph and Robert play a life-size game of chess

Preparations for the parade as the Ligonier Volunteer Fire Department made certain its trucks shone as brightly as people hoped the sun would shine on Saturday’s parade:

Concerts on the Ligonier Gazebo:

Fireworks lit up the Saturday evening sky:

Gatherings off the Diamond at Ligonier residences:

Man from Johnstown dared me to take his picture and post it:

All in all, a great Ft. Ligonier festival.
