  1. There used to be a purple house along my drive to work. There was a sign on the front porch – one day I slowed down to read it. It said, “We don’t like the color of your house either.”

      • I’m afraid not, that happened in Huchinson, Kansas… about as far away as you can get, in many different ways. I live in Dallas now.

  2. Just by chance my husband and I visited the owner of the orange house. We were informed it was built in the 1850s by the Pickens family. Apparently a set of twins, descendents of the Pickens family, were born in the house on Riverside Avenue, but the address was interpreted to be a house in a city named Riverside. The twins are opera singers of some fame. So why hadn’t I heard about them?
