SUNSET PHOTOS AT THE OVENS
ON MT. DESERT ISLAND, MAINE
This week’s photo challenge for the WordPress postaday challenge is sunsets. The following two photographs were taken in Maine. They are part of the setting I’m using in my historic romance novl about Madame Rosalie de Leval, Louis des Isles, and Mary Googins.
The first is a view of a sunset at The Ovens on Mount Desert Island. The rock “profile” is highlighted against the brilliant sky.
The second photograph is of Mt. Desert Narrows, the strip of water separating Mains mainland from Mount Desert Island. It is taken from Lamoine Beach, Maine, across the Narrows from The Ovens.
