Is My E-mail Being Spammed Through WordPress.com?

CAROLYN’S DAILY POSTS: 2011

IS MY E-MAIL BEING “SPAMMED” THROUGH WORDPRESS.com?

I opened up my E-mail to discover 29 emails—:

The Daily Post at WordPress.com   [New comment] You’ve now completed 33% of the challenge! Share your top 3 posts. Sat, 5/14/11 13KB

Throughout the month I’ve received up to five of these E-mails at a time, on a regular basis, and have simply deleted them. But this is getting ridiculous and irritating.

All in all, WordPress.com has been an excellent blogging host site, one which I’ve recommeded to several persons.  I will notify them of this situation. Mawhile, I’m left with several questions:

  • Is this happening to anyone else?
  • Is WordPress.com aware of this occurrence?
  •  How does one get this stopped?

Just a few questions for today’s post.

  1. Annoying, absolutely, but in truth, any website you post your email on has the ability to spam you! They probably have some blocks in place, but nothing can prevent it all, and usually once it starts, it simply gets worse.

    • I don’t think there is any more concern with WordPress than there is with any host site. I’m not certain what is going on, but hope to find out. If you are setting up a blog, I consider, from my experience and what others have told me, that WordPress is the best.

I’ve tried to work with blogger but my blood pressure is always raised with it, so I let my husband do it and I leave it alone. Still, there are some persons who swear by it.

A fair report for you…to Carolyn from Carolyn
