I’m Posting Every Day in 2011!
I’ve decided I want to blog more.
No, that’s not correct.
I’ve decided I need to develop the self-discipline for blogging daily. Therefore I’ve signed on to participate in the wordpress.com challenge to post every day. I’ve even set up a blog to fulfill this committment: www.carolyncholland2011.wordpress.com.
Why? Because I’m insane!
I already manage five blogs (one with a Maine newspaper). I’m also writing a historical romance novel set between 1790-1824 and a historical short story set in 1673 Rhode Island,
Currently, I attempt to post on Carolyn’s Compositions three times a week; on Intertwined Love (my romance novel blog) and the Maine newspaper site monthly; on the Beanery Online Literary Magazine(the Beanery Writers Group online publication) twice weekly—using submissions from group members and other writers; and the Laurel Mountain Online Newsletter as needed. I’ve therefore already scheduled posts for every day of the week, fifty-two weeks a year. That is, I’ve already set up a daily posting—and I admit, I’m not very disciplined at it!
With all these commitments I must be insane to sign up with WordPress for this commitment.
I’ve set up a special blogsite for this project. I will begin posting at www.carolyncholland2011.wordpress.com on January 1, 2011.
Daily posting may be difficult. Most posts will be short. Many may yield evidence of my insanity. However, this committment could be fun, inspiring, creative, etc. at the same time. It will not only be a way to develop the self-discipline I need to make the listed blogs successful, but it can combine the postings from my other sites.
WordPress indicates that I should use their site, The DailyPost, and the community of other bloggers with similiar goals, to help me along the way, including asking for help when I need it and encouraging others when I can.
If you already read my blog, I hope you’ll encourage me with comments and likes, and good will along the way.
